Does doing so cause any degradation to the final product? For example, theoretically speaking a cracked instance of Massive is perfectly identical to it's authorized counter part, no? What about the ableton software itself. Is a pirated version identical to the authorized version? What difference does it make on the computer itself, what differences exist if any?

I found that the audio files from cracked versions have a watermark, but it can be removed. The water mark is the letter 'C' embedded in the wave file. If you open the wave in an editor such as Notepad++ and do a search and replace for 'C', replace it with '0'. Now Ableton will no longer be able to track this wave file on soundcloud or youporn.
