It does not come with a battery, but, you can buy batteries (deep cycle marine batteries work well) just about anywhere. It provides sufficient power to run a 16' above ground pool pump 24/7. But, those of you that are looking to power much larger loads should know that this is not going to work. The kit does not require any special tools and can be relocated with minimum effort.

I had to re-shoot the first part of the video which accounts for the parts already being cut where I am trying to demonstrate removing them from the plastic sprue.
