So what you do is you tweak the knob you want to automate then go to tools in the corner and then pick last tweaked. Then you have the option to create the automation clip for that last tweaked knob.

Then click start scan, when done.close it and check ur vst plugins in fl again. If it dont help. Try coping ur plugin dll in./Imageline/flstudio/Plugins/vst, then rescan you plugins.
